The Arizona Challenge is the third Arizona Fred Astaire regional event in the calendar year. It follows our previous events Duel in the Sun & Desert Dance Challenge.

Arizona Challenge will take place on November 14th & 15th, 2008 at the Renaissance Glendale Hotel & Spa.

This competition will be the largest yet in Arizona and will be a full two day event. We have arranged for some of the top judges on the Fred Astaire National Dance Counsel to oversee this event.

Urs Geisenhainer & Agnes Kazmierczak

Urs and Agnes' partnership is three years old. She is originally from Poland and he comes from Germany. They were first scheduled to meet in Poland, but because it was a Sunday, had to convince a studio owner to let them use his facility while he went to church. Once they were locked in, Agnes realized she forgot her dance shoes in the car, and instead they talked for several hours, deciding to become partners. They didn't actually dance together until they arrived in Los Angeles. They have been part of the PBS special AMERICA'S BALLROOM CHALLENGE and are currently one of the world ranked Open International Standard couples.
